Julian Humphrys, historian, author and broadcaster looks forward to welcoming regular travellers and those of you who will take your first history tour with Tours Through Time in 2010. Having worked with closely with Brookland Travel and English Heritage for many years, Julian has become a very popular history tour leader for “Tours Through Time” which explore much loved historic landmarks, battlefields, English castles, churches, cathedrals, cities, houses, museums and galleries.
English castles and historic properties and sites that are looked after by English Heritage and The National Trust feature in this programme together with well known and lesser known privately owned properties. Julian’s expert knowledge, sense of fun and perfect attention to detail ensures that each history tour is unique, informative and interesting. Tours usually start at the 3 or 4 star hotel from which they are based and some tours include free transfers from the nearest railway station to the hotel.
Julian will also be leading some battlefield and heritage hikes for English Heritage in 2010 and details and dates of these will be posted on this website as soon as the information is available, although bookings are to be made directly with English Heritage (Information to follow).
